Breastfeeding Support

We are here to support mothers on their breastfeeding journey. Our Breastfeeding Support Service provides a welcoming space for mothers to access advice, encouragement, and practical guidance from trained professionals and other experienced mothers in the community.

What the group offers:

  • One-to-One Support: Personalised advice from trained breastfeeding counsellors or specialised Public Health Nurse to address challenges such as latching, milk supply, or feeding positions.
  • Workshops & Peer Groups: Learn from experts and connect with other mothers.
  • Practical Resources: Access informational materials and essential breastfeeding tools.

Who Can Access This Service?

Our Breastfeeding Support service is open to all mothers and expectant mothers in the community. Whether you’re a first-time mum or have previous experience, we’re here to provide the help and reassurance you need.

How to Access the Service:

To access our Breastfeeding Support, you can:
Drop into the centre during our designated breastfeeding support hours.

  • Tuesday mornings from 10:30am – 12:00n throughout the year except for the Christmas break.
  • Call or email us to check if the public health nurse will be at todays group.
  • Join one of our workshops or support groups to connect with other mums in a relaxed setting.

We understand that every breastfeeding journey is unique, and our group is here to help you every step of the way. With the correct support in place we want to help you to have a positive fulfilling breastfeeding experience
